Allamuchy is located in Warren County along the Pequest River.  It is conveniently located immediately off of Exit 19 on Rt. 80.  Beautiful mountains and state parks make this area an welcomed escape from the busier areas of NJ.  It includes communities such as Panther Valley, which is a gated community of single family homes and townhouses with exceptional ammenities - multiple pools, tennis courts and more, farms and homes on larger properties throughout the municipality.

Township officials are trying to limit the further growth of development in the township. Open space acquisition is a major part of this strategy. The Township and its very active Environmental Commission are aggressively pursuing state Green Acres money and have put together a detailed open space plan for the Township.
